KDR European is an independently owned freight forwarding company for European and UK domestic transport by road, based near the Port of Felixstowe. Having decided it was time to invest in a new and improved website that effectively showcased KDR’s services and professionalism, owner Robert Kersey embraced the opportunity to reimagine and solidify the company’s visual identity.
KDR enlisted the help of GLO’s design and branding specialists to roll out a full rebrand that could stand the test of time and be implemented across both digital and physical touchpoints – from a new, fully optimised freight company website, to business stationery, advertising boards, uniforms, and vehicle graphics.
GLO’s experienced designers delivered, coming up with a refreshed brand identity that embodies KDR’s offering and provides a bold new sense of direction moving forward.

We worked closely with KDR to establish what they wanted to achieve and get to know their audience and competitors, before devising an effective brand strategy to inform the creative process.
With KDR’s goals, values, and audience in mind, our design team began brainstorming ideas and visuals for the freight company’s new visual identity. The rebrand needed to convey KDR’s forward-thinking attitude, stand the test of time, and be flexible enough to apply across an array of both digital and physical touchpoints. We then presented our initial concepts to the team at KDR, allowing us to build on their preferred creative direction.
With a creative direction approved, our designers worked to further develop the new visual identity, ensuring everything from colours and typography to image treatment and tone of voice was considered. Featuring ‘EU’ blue to highlight the connection with Europe, highly legible type to ensure readability, and chevrons as an icon to communicate both the efficient transport of goods and KDR’s forward-thinking attitude, the new branding is designed to be eye-catching, functional, and make a statement about what the company aims to achieve. We then put together a comprehensive brand guidelines document to provide direction when implementing KDR’s new image, ensuring consistent translation across all media.
With a new logo and brand guidelines ready to go, it was time to start working on KDR’s new website. GLO’s SEO copywriters worked alongside our design team to ensure consistent tone of voice and produce user-friendly content that would drive traffic to the site, targeting key transport industry search terms throughout. Combined with UX-driven page layouts, the new site is as informative as it is easy to navigate, driving visitors straight to an integrated contact form.
As well as the new website, we also began rolling out the new visual identity across other brand touchpoints, including business stationery, advertising boards, uniforms, and vehicle graphics, creating a cohesive and memorable brand experience for customers.
Since launching the new website, KDR have enjoyed huge success. Thanks to built-in optimisation combined with distinctive and memorable branding that showcases KDR’s professionalism, the site has achieved incredible results, gaining first-page keyword rankings for numerous logistics company search terms.
