Claude Web Design & Development: HYROX Elite Kat Parnell

Kat Parnell Timeline

June 2026 - June 2026

Building a Race-Ready Brand and Digital Presence for Elite HYROX Athlete Kat Parnell

Kat Parnell competes at the front of the HYROX Elite 15 field, 17 races, 3 Pro wins, and a personal best of 58:51 in Warsaw. She is also a BSc-qualified sport scientist, a former Sports Massage Therapist at Ipswich Town FC, and a practitioner with 223+ five-star reviews built over 20 years of practice. The credentials were exceptional. The digital presence was not keeping up.

When GLO first visited katparnell.co.uk, the homepage headline read “BE FIT FOR LIFE!” — a generic local fitness slogan applied to an athlete competing at international level. The old site positioned Kat as a local personal trainer offering Personal Training, Sports Massage and a Power Hour class. There was no mention of Elite 15 HYROX, no race record, no 58:51 PB, no Ipswich Town FC credentials. The website was built for a local gym market. Kat had outgrown it entirely.

GLO stepped in to build from scratch. Using Claude Design for brand identity and Claude Code for web development, we created the Race Day identity system: a direct, evidenced design language built around Kat’s competitive record. Every element, from the colour palette and typography hierarchy to the graphic motifs and photography treatment, was engineered to communicate premium credentials without softening them.

The new site repositioned Kat from local PT to international HYROX athlete. The homepage now opens with “FIND YOUR STRENGTH”, supported by her World Championship qualification, race record and coaching offer, and routes visitors into eight distinct areas: coaching, programming, course, sports massage, results, media, partnerships and shop. The website launched across all service areas with SEO-optimised copy, structured schema markup and an e-commerce course built into the architecture from day one. Race-Ready: The Athlete Edition went live at £97 with instant access and 11 race-ready downloadable resources. A dedicated sports massage service page was built to capture local search demand in Ipswich and Suffolk, targeting nine primary keywords with LocalBusiness schema, AggregateRating markup and long-tail FAQ content.

The result is a digital presence as competitive as the athlete behind it, specific, credentialled, and built to convert. And every page scores 100 across all four Google Lighthouse categories: Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO.

Objectives

  • Build the Race Day brand identity system from zero, a documented design language covering colour tokens, typography hierarchy, graphic motifs, photography treatment and full brand guidelines, establishing Kat’s premium positioning as an Elite 15 athlete and coach.
  • Reposition Kat from local PT to international HYROX athlete, replacing a generic “BE FIT FOR LIFE!” WordPress site with a credential-led digital platform that reflects her Elite 15 competitive record, World Championship qualification and 223+ five-star reviews.
  • Design and develop katparnell.co.uk across eight revenue-generating service areas: HYROX coaching, programming, Race-Ready course, sports massage, apparel, results, media and partnerships, ensuring each page is built to convert the right audience.
  • Launch the Race-Ready: The Athlete Edition course, a £97 digital product with six modules and 11 downloadable resources, generating revenue independently of Kat’s time.
  • Produce a fully SEO-optimised sports massage service page targeting nine primary keywords across Ipswich and Suffolk, capturing local search demand with no existing dedicated page in place.
  • Achieve a perfect Google Lighthouse score across Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO, building technical excellence into the site from the ground up, not as an afterthought.
  • Demonstrate a new standard for AI-powered brand and web delivery, using Claude Design and Claude Code to produce agency-quality creative and development work at speed.

Outcomes

  • Delivered the Race Day brand identity system, a complete, documented design language with four colour tokens, three-typeface hierarchy, graphic motifs and photography standards, governed by a full brand book ready for consistent application across all touchpoints.
  • Launched katparnell.co.uk, a fully responsive, SEO-optimised website across all eight service areas, designed with Claude Design and built with Claude Code.
  • Achieved a perfect 100/100 Google Lighthouse score across Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO, a technically flawless site on every measurable metric from day one.
  • Published Race-Ready: The Athlete Edition, six modules, 11 race-ready downloads, live at £97 with instant access and lifetime download rights, generating course revenue from day one.
  • Created a sports massage service page targeting nine primary keywords in Ipswich and Suffolk, with LocalBusiness schema, AggregateRating markup, HasOfferCatalog structured data and 2,000+ words of keyword-targeted copy including eight FAQ entries for long-tail search capture.
  • Repositioned Kat from local PT to international HYROX athlete, replacing a generic local fitness website with a credential-led digital platform that reflects her Elite 15 competitive record and global reach.

How We Did it

Our AI-Powered Design & Development Process

01

Brand Discovery

We began by mapping Kat’s full credential set, Elite 15 HYROX athlete, 17 races, 3 Pro wins, 58:51 PB, BSc Sport Science, Ipswich Town FC Sports Massage Therapist, 223+ five-star reviews, and identifying the gap between her professional standing and her existing digital presence.

This discovery phase established the creative brief: a brand that communicates premium performance credentials directly, without softening them with fitness industry clichés. The direction was informed by competitive data and Kat’s race record, not mood boards.

02

Race Day Identity System

Using Claude Design, we created the Race Day brand identity from scratch. The system was built around four colour tokens, Track Black (#0B0B0C), Chalk (#FAFAF7), Volt (#E8FF2E) and Concrete (#232327), with strict usage ratios that keep the palette disciplined and high-impact.

  • Typography was set across three typefaces: Anton for display headlines, Archivo for body copy and IBM Plex Mono for labels, chips and data, each governed by explicit rules on weight, tracking and hierarchy.
  • Graphic motifs, hazard tape dividers, stat tile strips, trust chips and start-line rules, were engineered as functional brand components, not decorative additions.
  • A full brand book was produced to govern consistent application across the website, course materials, sales collateral and future digital touchpoints.
03

Website Architecture & SEO Strategy

Before a single page was designed, we mapped the site architecture around Kat’s five revenue streams and identified the keyword opportunities each needed to target.

The sports massage service represented the highest-priority SEO opportunity: no dedicated page existed, and local search demand in Ipswich and Suffolk was uncontested by Kat’s existing digital presence. We developed a keyword strategy targeting nine primary terms, including sports massage, deep tissue massage, female sports massage therapist and location modifiers for Ipswich and Suffolk, with supporting FAQ content for long-tail capture and schema markup for local business visibility.

04

Website Design (Claude Design)

With the brand system and site architecture confirmed, Claude Design was used to translate the Race Day identity into a fully responsive website across all five service areas.

  • Every section was built to the component specifications in the brand book, no rounded corners, no gradients, no deviation from the established colour ratios.
  • Trust architecture was embedded above the fold on every page: credential chips, stat tiles and review counts were surfaced immediately to convert on first impression.
  • The Race-Ready course page was designed as a standalone conversion page, with pricing, module breakdown and download count made visible without scrolling.
  • The sports massage page was structured across 11 sections, hero, proof ribbon, service tiles, who-it’s-for, what-to-expect, location, about Kat, social proof, enquiry CTA, FAQ and related services, each section designed for both conversion and keyword coverage.
05

Web Development (Claude Code)

Claude Code was used to build the full website from the approved designs, producing a clean, performant codebase deployed to production.

  • The site was built mobile-first, with responsive layouts that maintain the Race Day brand system across all screen sizes, stacked heroes, 2×2 stat grids and single-column review tiles on mobile.
  • Structured data, LocalBusiness, AggregateRating and HasOfferCatalog schema, was implemented across all relevant service pages.
  • Page speed optimisation included image compression to WebP, CSS-level greyscale treatment for photography (preserving brand consistency without degrading image quality at export) and deferred non-critical JavaScript.

The technical output was verified against Google Lighthouse on launch. katparnell.co.uk scored 100 across all four categories, Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO, from day one. No remedial work required post-launch.

06

Content, Course & Launch

With the site built, we delivered the full content layer: SEO-optimised copy across all service pages, the Race-Ready course architecture and a 2,000+ word sports massage service page with nine target keywords distributed across hero, H2 headings, body copy and FAQ.

  • The sports massage FAQ covered eight questions targeting all keyword variants: sports massage, deep tissue massage, athletic massage, female sports massage therapist and location modifiers, providing long-tail coverage that FAQ schema reinforces in search.
  • All copy was written in the Race Day brand voice, direct, evidenced, human, with every claim backed by a number and no vague descriptors in the copy.
  • Race-Ready: The Athlete Edition launched at £97 on day one: one-time purchase, instant access, six modules and 11 lifetime downloads.

Hear It From Our Client

“The old site was embarrassing compared to what I’d built on the track. It listed me as a local PT when I was competing at Elite 15 level internationally. GLO came in and rebuilt everything from scratch, brand, website, course, using AI tools I hadn’t seen applied like this before. The result is a platform that actually converts. Coaching enquiries are higher quality, the course sells on its own, and the site scores 100 on every Google metric. That last one matters to me because it’s measurable. Either it works or it doesn’t.”
