Opening originally as ‘SMB Beauty and Fitness’, this long-standing Brecon-based beauty salon and gym facility has offered clients across the country a place to both workout, and get their beauty fix since 2006. In 2021, after 15 years of operation and glowing reviews, owner Matt Rudman decided it was time for a transformation – making the decision to dedicate SMB entirely to beauty and wellness, and adopting the shorter name ‘SMB Beauty’.
SMB reached out to GLO with plans to roll out a full rebrand complemented by a brand new, fully-optimised website that ranked at the top of SERPs, drove traffic and included appointment booking/payment functionality. We delivered.

1 – Rebranding
The first step to achieving SMB’s fully optimised website transformation was a total brand makeover. After a few initial discovery meetings with the client’s team, GLO’s very best graphic designers collaborated with our leading developers to bring to life a beautiful new logo and colour palette – both of which were used to inspire SMB’s physical salon renovation!
2 – Sitemap
The best websites integrate data at every point of their creation. After analysing SMB’s existing website, and taking note of their up-to-date list of beauty services, our SEO team conducted extensive industry, competitor and keyword research – using the results to plan and perfect a sitemap in line with their new objectives and search trends. This allowed us to lay the foundations for both an outstanding user experience and for future SEO efforts.
3 – SEO Copywriting
High-quality content is key to a successful website and top SERP rankings. Before starting the web development and design process, our copywriters and content specialists began page creation by conducting further keyword research, designed to establish the user intent of the site’s most common and ideal visitors, whilst allowing for the production of relevant copy targeting all the right terms, from “Brecon Beauticians” to “CACI Facials”. The final product of their enhanced competitor research and copywriting expertise is a set of 15 informative, action-inspiring, and on-brand webpages composed of plenty of fully optimised content.
3 – Development and Booking
After our optimised content was approved, our web designers got to work – closely following SMB’s new brand guidelines to create a visually stunning website truly worthy of a five-star beauty salon. They combined clean, spa-inspired imagery with soft pinks, sage greens, browns, and whites to deliver an immersive user experience reflective of SMB’s luxurious beauty and wellness treatments. The site’s UX driven page layout and carefully considered copy made it easy for our team to connect relevant services, and lead visitors straight to its integrated appointment booking software, ensuring maximal conversion rates.
